“Superyacht owners rejoice: You can finally dock your ship in Miami. A month after Island Gardens Deep Harbour opened in Biscayne Bay, the docks have filled with $800 million of yachts jockeying for space as the Magic City hosts a series of annual boat shows.” – Bill Faries, Bloomberg
"If you are a yacht owner, Deep Harbour facilities will include a restaurant, lounge, parking and all marina services, including power, according to Mehmet Bayraktar, Chief Executive of Flagstone Property Group, the developer. There will be in-slip fueling, meaning that you don’t have to move your yacht to gas up. He describes the facilities as similar to what FBOs offer for private jets." – Doug Gollan, Forbes
“Mehmet Bayraktar, a Miami-based developer who previously worked on mixed-use projects in Istanbul, has developed Island Gardens, a marina with slips for superyachts up to 500-feet long on Miami’s Watson’s Island. Nearby hotels and restaurants are slated for completion in 2019.” – Alina Dizik, Wall Street Journal
“With Miami becoming a yachting haven, the extension to a lifestyle branding and community is a natural step in developing the sector’s appeal to capitalize on growth opportunity without compromising exclusivity” – Forrest Cardamenis, Luxury Daily
“The developers of Island Gardens have a grand vision for a marina complex with retail and hospitality components off Watson Island at the heart of Biscayne Bay. The views are unbeatable; the location is ideal, close to all of Miami’s hot spots and beyond with access to a heliport, and now, after many years of delay, the project is off to a solid start.” – ShowBoats, September 2015 issue
“In Miami, we live by one credo: the bigger yacht, the better. And with the introduction of the first-ever Superyacht Miami Show just this past weekend, the Magic City proved that to be true. Taking place February 11th to the 15th at the New Island Gardens on Watson Island, this Show Management event brought together a collection of 24 superyachts worth more than $800M combined.” – Jennifer Agress, Haute Living
